Neurofeedback - A brand new service

Posted by: MIAMI Institute @ 5:12 pm  — March 7, 2008

Neurofeedback, also referred to as EEG Biofeedback, is an anti-aging strategy enabling individuals to improve and maintain mental performance, normalize behavior and stabilize mood.

Neurofeedback is a technique which trains the brain to improve regulation of body function, especially those which degrade during the aging process. Like physical training for the body the brain also needs to be exercised to remain healthy and optimized.

Optimized brain function has many benefits in both mental and physical conditioning.

  • Improved cognitive function; memory, attention, agility, processing
  • Normalized behavior; sleep difficulties, addiction
  • Reduced Somatic issues; chronic pain, migraines
  • Improved mood; emotional stability, anxiety, depression, obsession panic, rumination
  • Stress management; relaxation, stress reduction

Brain training is also an effective treatment for specific issues of damage, injury or dysfunction. Management of brain function can improve the symptoms associated with traumatic brain injury, seizures and stroke. It can also address the underlying cause of harmful addiction.

Optimization of brain function has direct benefit by reducing the external behaviors which mask the real you. Many behavioral conditions over ride how we wish to be, and don’t allow us to present ourselves as we want. Neurofeedback is a lifestyle change, enabling us to manage our mental and body functions, reducing the impact of aging or brain injury and allowing peak performance in all that we do.
